TRUMP CARD flew fresh at Ipswich on Saturday to make it two winners in as many days for the stable and for our strong supporters Robert and Debra Jones.
Following his stablemate WEONA REDWOOD’s stirring success at the Sunshine Coast on Friday night, TRUMP CARD got in on the act when he carried the Jones family’s familiar black and blue colours to victory in the Class 1 Handicap (1666m).
It was a first fresh win for the son of Ace High and bodes well for the remainder of the prep, as he gets set to step out to more suitable staying trips.
TRUMP CARD’s second career triumph also brought up a sixth riding success of the week for his in-form jockey Brandon Lerena, who threw everything but the kitchen sink at the gelding in a driving finish.
Victory took TRUMP CARD’s earnings past the $75,000 mark, many congratulations to the Jones family.
