SNEAK PREVIEW’s step up to 2000m for the first time in his career proved a winning formula as the 7YO scored his ninth win with a dominant performance at Doomben.
Despite conceding weight to his rivals, SNEAK PREVIEW finished strongest in the Benchmark 78 Handicap (2040m) under a typically confident ride by Ryan Maloney.
The gelding spent much of the contest saving ground on the inside rail, before Maloney peeled him to the outside with 500m left to travel.
That was the cue for SNEAK PREVIEW to turn on the afterburners and streak clear of the field, with Maloney able to ease him down near the line for a comfortable victory.
