EASY LOVE SHOWS PLENTY OF HEART
EASY LOVE broke through the $150,000 prizemoney barrier and extended the stable’s winning streak when she dashed away from her rivals at Eagle Farm.
The ultra-consistent mare now has a pair of wins from her four first-up outings after she showed poise and power in Saturday’s Class 3 Plate (1400m).
Having been given a very patient ride by talented apprentice Bella Youngberry, who was in the saddle for the first time, EASY LOVE sprang into life at the 200m mark with a withering burst.
The acceleration caught her rivals flat-footed as she eased to a one-length success which bodes well for another prosperous prep.
“She came home in some really good sectionals,” said David.
“First up over 1400 metres after a long break, that was pretty impressive. She’s trotted up well this morning and she looks really good in the coat, there are a few options for her coming up but we’ll just get through the next few days before finalising our plans.”
The victory took the stable’s recent run to three wins a minor placing from our last five starters, many congratulations to the On Track Racing team and all her owners: Mr D J Bates, Mrs M D Bates, Ms J Cai, Mr R A Modin, F R F Racing, Mr A B Stubbs, Mr P R Mcgavin, Mr P E Kitching, Mr R J Harvey, Mr L S Daley, Mrs G Harvey, Mr D Verryckt, Mr D M White, Mrs M Lindemann, Thuzz Park Racing, Mr J H Slorach, Mr M L Brookes, Mr B M Mannion.
