LADY LUCIFER BURNS THEM AT GRAFTON

LADY LUCIFER scored a tough win on Grafton Cup Day to move to the brink of $200,000 in career earnings.

The daughter of Hellbent now has six victories to her name after following up her narrow triumph at Doomben with a much more comfortable success at Grafton.

Her new pilot Ash Butler took LADY LUCIFER forward from the wide gate, and despite working hard for the lead the five-year-old still had plenty left in the tank to justify favouritism and prevail by more than two lengths.

The ultra-consistent mare has now finished in the first three on 11 occasions in a 14-start career which has yielded $191,470 in racetrack returns.

Credit to Grant Morgan and the entire team at On Track Racing, who picked her up for just $55,000 at the yearling sales.

Many congratulations to all her owners: OnTrack Miss Twin Peaks, Ontrack Thoroughbreds No 1, Mr J R Carey, Mrs M D Bates, Mr D J Bates, Mr B J Warnick, Mr F J Vernon, Bayles Girls Racing, Mr P R Mcgavin, Ms S M Manning, Lock & Bob Boys, Mr G A Snow, Mrs M J Keegan, GroLim Racing, Mr C D Enders, Mr W D Phillips, Mr W C Stone and Mr B R Heness.
