JIMMY'S BROTHER AT THE DOUBLE

JIMMY’S BROTHER used his home track to his advantage again when he claimed a second successive win at the Sunshine Coast on Father’s Day.
The 4YO now boasts a 50% win rate from his eight starts after he showed plenty of heart under Bella Youngberry to justify favouritism in the Class 4 Handicap (1000m).
JIMMY’S BROTHER blitzed his rivals by almost four lengths at his previous start, but he was made to work much harder for his fourth career victory.
While the winning margin was much smaller, the son of Pariah covered the 1000m in a slick time of 57.39 to add further merit to the victory.
“That was a great education for him,” said David.
“He’s never had to chase down a leader and then hold off another horse in the finish, so he ticked off a few boxes and proved he’s not a one-trick pony. It was a good experience for him moving forward. We’ll head back to the Sunny Coast on Sunday week, so hopefully he can keep the run going.”
Many congratulations to his owners: MR Racing, Mr M W Cook, Mr J J Ward, Ms J S Rockliff, Mr E S Cromb, Mr J Mannion, Mr T Brown, Mr J Patterson, Mr M R Brown, Mr S Dodds, Insain Racing, Mr L A Salvador, Mr P G Anderson, Mr R A Schaefer, Mr D A Dyson, Neil Douglas Racing, Mr M R Gilmore, Ms K Moran, Mr K Riches and The Big Seal.
