ISLES OF AVALON PUTS PANELS ON THEM

ISLES OF AVALON brought up the stable’s fourth winner in five days when she broke her maiden in fine style at the Sunshine Coast.

Having put the writing on the wall with an impressive performance on her stable debut at the start of the month, the daughter of Toronado promptly registered her first victory in emphatic fashion on Sunday.

ISLES OF AVALON pinged the gates under Jim Byrne, before setting a steady tempo in the Maiden Plate (1000m).

Despite being challenged for the lead, the 4YO remained unfazed and maintained her rhythm before extending in the home straight to record a three-and-a-half-length win.

Some slick sectional times added further merit to a victory which saw ISLES OF AVALON collect a cheque for $16,800.

The win also extended the stable’s hot streak, with four wins and four minor placings from our last 11 starters.

Many congratulations to Tony Santic and all the team at Makybe, who bred and own the mare.
