BECCA GOES BACK TO BACK

BECCA backed up her dominant debut win with another victory at Beaudesert on Thursday which preserved the unbeaten start to her career.

The filly stepped up from Maiden company to Benchmark 58 grade and promptly put her rivals away again with another display of sustained speed.

After pinging the lids again, BECCA was able to dictate proceedings under James Orman, who primarily travelled to Beaudesert to take the ride.

The journey was more than justified after BECCA kicked clear in the closing stages and held on comfortably for a one-and-a-half length win which took her earnings close to $60,000 from just two starts.

“She is a really nice filly and that was the perfect way to ride her,” said David.

“They scooted around this track nicely and we’d had this race in mind for her since the Gatton win. She’s only a lightly-framed filly and she was able to get in front and hug the fence, so everything went to plan.”

Many congratulations to all her owners: Mr S A Flanagan, Mrs N D Ruhland, Miss P L Corfield, Mr S C Blacka, Mrs D P Ouston, Mr W J Ouston, Mr C J Bloxsom, Mr T J Harry, Mr G T Cassidy, Mrs R Cassidy, Mr D E Irving and DVD Racing.
