ALL INCLUSIVE made the perfect start to his career when he sprouted wings to take out the QTIS 2YO Jewel Prelude (1110m) at Doomben.
David had compared ALL INCLUSIVE to another son of All Too Hard in the build-up to Saturday’s lucrative contest, and whilst he has a long way to go before he emulates the feats of Alligator Blood, the gelding couldn’t have been much more impressive on debut.
Ryan Maloney showed plenty of patience after a sluggish start, with the experienced jockey content to bide his time before peeling ALL INCLUSIVE to the outside.
Once he had engaged top gear, it was all over as a contest as ALL INCLUSIVE mowed down his rivals for a soft win which earned his connections a cheque for $72,500.
“That was a very impressive statement,” said Maloney.
“He actually did a fair bit wrong and still won easily, so there’s obviously plenty of upside to him. What I love most is that he has the perfect temperament, nothing fazes him. The run should have brought him on mentally, so hopefully the sky is the limit for him.”
David has some lofty ambitions for ALL INCLUSIVE, with a trip to Sydney and even a potential tilt at the Golden Slipper under consideration depending on how he pulls up from the run.
Many congratulations to his owners: Mr M Von Senden, Reynella Thoroughbreds Pty Ltd, Mr M V Rielly, Ms M J Henzell, Mr P R Williams, Miss J Ible, Ms L E Bretherton, Mr J J Richards, Pryde Racing, Mr G R Banning, Mrs H J O'Connor, Mr D J O'Connor, Mr P R Newman, Mr B Ible, Mr C Branthwaite and Mrs M Branthwaite.
