David Vandyke is the only current horse trainer to operate two facilities at metropolitan Sydney racetracks – Warwick Farm and Randwick.

The Vandyke Racing Stable at Warwick Farm and Segenhoe Stable (which Vandyke trains out of at Randwick) are world class stables with a proven record of having success at the highest level.

The stables at Warwick Farm are next to the Racecourse, in a semi-rural setting, which access the Australian Turf Club’s vast and unrivalled facilities including the swimming pool and various tracks on and off course.

The training tracks at Warwick Farm are rated some of the best in New South Wales with the options of the all weather pro-ride, three grass tracks for gallops, various sand tracks and exercise fields along the river and polo fields to give the horses plenty of variety in their daily routines.

The recently renovated Segenhoe Stable, situated next to the racecourse in High Street Randwick, accommodates many horses owned by Segenhoe Stud with provision for outside clients who prefer their horse at Royal Randwick.

Assistant trainer, Dr Michael Robinson, manages the Randwick base.
Randwick is home to some of Australia’s leading trainers. With facilities that have proven successful in winning most of Australia’s major races.

The horses all swim regularly at the pools as an important part of their fitness, as well as regular float trips to the beach where the gallopers wade in the ocean. This is particularly beneficial for horses with any joint or leg issues. The horse walker is used in the mornings and afternoons to provide a warm up and cool down as part of the thoroughbred’s daily programs.

These facilities are utilised under David and Dr Robinson’s astute eyes to ensure your racehorse is given the best of care around the clock.
